Some villagers have closed their borders with no one coming to their home. Similarly, a village in Telangana has strictly followed lockdown rules. People from their village are studying elsewhere and even for jobs they are prevented from entering. However, the latest incident in the village of Telangana. A young girl was prevented from coming home. The girl was so distraught that she attempted suicide.
The incident took place on Tuesday night in the Dhammapet zone of Bhadradri Koshygudem district. Kuzu Nagalakshmi, a young girl from Pedagollagudeni, is studying in the AGBS in Maharashtra. College was closed due to lockdown. The hostel was also closed. This caused the young woman to reach Khammam in a transport lorry. She had medical examiners there and would go home and stay in the home quarantine for a few days. The young woman, who went to her home on Tuesday, reached Dhammapeta Mandal Ganeshpadu.
The villagers were not allowed to enter the village from the check post set up at the village. Parents did not come forward to take their daughter home as the villagers opposed. The locals demanded her return. Sadly, the girl was deeply offended. At this, Ganeshappadu went to the exit and jumped into the pond. Locals who immediately identified and rescued the young woman were rushed to Sathupalli and given medical treatment.
